      Boxing in Korea is dead. It pretty much died in the early 90s when economy started booming.

      Nowadays, koreans are into MMA unfortunately.

      But in general, korean kids dont want to take up a hungry man's sport like boxing.

        Why is China even being mentioned? Lol

        Just because we see few fighters today like Shiming and Tso doesnt mean anything.

        China is not a boxing nation. They are still new to this sport.

          The chinese kids I know think training casually in some obscure martial arts makes you a better fighter than amateur boxing

              Japan.

              Their scene is so robust most can make a living only fighting domestic level. Why go overseas and get robbed if you can make enough to live off and you can stay in the comforts of home.

                  I lived in Asian for many years. South Korea and Japan in particular. Boxing in Korea wasn't that big. They were more into kick boxing and other martial arts.
