Is Canelo doing to GGG what GGG is trying to do to Jacobs?

I remember Golovkin saying Ward was too much for him.Comment

It's not really the same thing. Golovkin's hesitating on the offer from Alvarez because there's still nearly a year before the fight happens. That's plenty of time to wait and see how circumstances might change. No one agrees on money for a fight that's so far away.
There's no indication that Jacobs is being lowballed, either. Rather, it looks like Jacobs wants a lot more than he's actually worth. Which considering Haymon's love for overpaying his fighters doesn't come as a surprise.Comment

Jacobs is asking for 60-40 in a fight where he doesn't deserve 40%. Eubanks had like 4 million on the table and blew the fight up wanting more. Quillin said he wanted 10 million. Froch retired, there were never serious talks there. Canelo vacated and said he wouldn't even consider the fight before September 2017. Saunders said he wouldn't consider the fight for 18 months after winning his title.
If you blame Golovkin for any of that, then you are ignoring reality in order to create a delusion where Golovkin didn't want these fights. Why you'd do that I don't know.Comment

I can't comment on GGG vs Jacobs because I don't know what the best offer to Jacobs is. If it goes to purse bid Jacobs gets 25% and that is the WBA rules, not GGG rules. I do know GGG is worth much more than Oscar is offering him. What GGG made in past fights has nothing to do with Canelo vs GGG. It's the biggest money fight in boxing and GGG is half of the reason the fight is so big. The fight can't happen until he signs the contract. He deserves at least a 35% share of the money available to the fighters with Canelo getting the lion's share or 65%. 35% is much closer to 20 million than the 10 million he has been offered so far. Khan made 14 million for fighting Canelo in a much smaller fight. Even if Oscar only offered the 25% Jacobs gets at minimum it would still be a lot more than 10 million I'm sure.Comment

What you say is the truth but this is mainly a GGG hating forum. As far as GGG haters are concerned he is always wrong, never fought anybody worth a damn, can't fight a lick and is a coward to boot.Jacobs is asking for 60-40 in a fight where he doesn't deserve 40%.
