Alvarez is unlikely to have three PPV fights in 2017, imo.
2/11/17 - Alvarez vs Curtis Stevens (at less than 160lbs) [HBO]
5/6/17 - Saunders(c) vs Alvarez, WBO 160lb belt [HBOPPV]
9/16/17 - Alvarez(c) vs Cotto 2, WBO 160lb belt [HBOPPV]
Alvarez debuts in NYC (against a fighter with some profile in NYC) on HBO to a sizable viewership (Saunders takes a tick-over fight on the undercard), you use the February date to goose the interest in the May PPV, and then pay off the September date with a PPV event that can actually happen.Comment

Who else plans to fight 3 times a year in 2017?
I'm still tracking current fighters' inactivity. Many of them are supposed to be announcing their comeback fights. Since many of them are still not rushing to fight, their period of inactivity is getting longer and longer. Seems 2 years without fights is becoming a possibility. Let's see if they would last without fighting for 2 years.Comment

No way in hell does Canelo/Cotto 2 sells less than Canelo/Golovkin. Some of you guys are seriously overrating the numbers for that fight.Comment
