    How big is Kovalev/Ward?

    FMJ/Pac.
    Oscar/Mosley.
    Calzaghe/Hopkins.
    Klitschko/Haye.

All huge fights of recent years.. Is it on a par?

Like a Floyd vs Corrales imo.

Ward stated he'd like to retire at HW. His HW retirement exit fight, assuming he's still undefeated, will be epic like ATG matchups.

Not big at all sadly neither is a big draw or that known outside of hardcore fans.

Pacquiao vs Mayweather was the biggest fight of all time even if the actual fight was just average. No other fight even compares with it for making money. I think boxing fans want to see Kovalev vs Ward just as much as they wanted to see the other 3 fights. I am looking forward to it very much and counting the days until the fight.

klitschko haye i dont consider very big. haye was just a contender and nothing more with a slim resume. floyd pac was 2 past it fighters so kinda worthless. calzaghe hopkins 2 old guys. oscar mosley was the most similar. both guys in their primes. this could be the best and most important fight.............EVAH

Floyd-Corrales is a pretty good gauge, but I think Kovalev-Ward is bigger than that.

Beyond that, I doubt that Andre Ward, were his dream of fighting for a heavyweight title were to manifest, would be in an ATG matchup at heavyweight; a fight like John Ruiz vs Roy Jones Jr would be a better gauge (Andre Ward is already 32 years old and, from the looks of things, is already 180lbs-185lbs before any weight cut; the idea that he'll take on Joshua/Wilder/Fury or one of the other giants is preposterous).

what do you think is the bottleneck age for HW, ATG elite examples?
