ive boxed before, and what im saying is if i was boxing against someone who was a novice, that doesnt make me some hero does it. And if i fought novices constantly instead of someone who was half decent that would make me a coward, dont you think? that seems to be what a hell of a lot of these fighters are doing at the moment, fighting people below their level

I don't consider them cowards or bums.

Are some boxers scared? I think so

But fighters all have physical courage

Yeah ,I do agree that these mismatches at a world level endanger the lower level fighter. And it makes the sport look bad.And even worse are the ones where young prospects ,especially punchers who fight guys on the way up that don't only have bad records, but are clearly not even fit by everyday standards.Like David Prices last fight.I barely want to look at some of them.

i agree with this, being scared and being a coward are two completely different things

Being a fighter isnt an automatic immunity for CHRONIC ducking/ cherry picking.
U can call them that, but 99.9999% of the time u would be wrong!!! Fighters don't duck or cherry pick....hell they hardly decide their opponents....the real culprit is savvy business that looks to maximise profits and longevity.

The guys we see on tv are the best, of the best, of the best. The worst champ you've ever seen has ego, skillset and confidence the size of Texas.

Most cowards are weeded out the gym long before their 1st amatuer fight. The few that survive are plucked long before their 1st professional fight. In fact, anyone with even an ounce of doubt will have a difficult time winning a fight, let alone a belt.
