So if he was offered 35%..what's 5% more to make a quality fight between the 2 best middleweights in the division?...

Jacobs is not a nobody...Dominic Wade and them other guys names i can't remember who golovkin fought are doe!...Was that 600k US buys?...

Do it then watch people that are more popular then Jacobs (I,E Lara, BJS, Eubank) ask for 50/50

Of course it is a fight worth seeing but Jacobs has to take what's on the table, if roles were reversed there's no way Jacobs would budge from the 75% he would rightfully deserve if he was clearly the bigger draw and held 3 major titles to his opponent's none.

It's not like Jacobs has more lucrative options either, difference is Golovkin can fight a nobody for 2-3 million.... Jacobs would be lucky to get more than 500k for his next nobody fight.

It wasn't PPV in the US was it?

Yep, it's going to further skew the landscape, for Golovkin at least.

Other than Canelo I don't see where else Jacobs can make this much money...... forget the Quillin fight, that had to be a huge loss for PBC and showtime so he might as well pretend that fight didn't happen.

Golovkin will have to make concessions eventually but not for Danny flipping Jacobs, it's not like it will be a win that you can't immediately discredit seeing as he is China chinned.
                great post.

id say 70-30 is more than fair.

i mean every notable fight now is being given the floyd manny drawing water from a stone negotiating treatment....

60-40 is extremely generous to Jacobs. Extremely. Quite frankly it's hard to justify. His biggest fight was a flop despite fighting in his hometown against another hometown fighter.

Like others said, it makes it even harder for Golovkin going forward if a nobody like Jacobs can get 60-40.

He's about as much a nobody as a "name" fighter can be. He isn't even as big as Lemieux.

Worth it for whom? As a fight fan, sure, I say GGG (or HBO) should pony up whatever it takes. If it was my money I was using, however, I would say that Jacobs ain't worth 40% and that a win ain't really gonna do much to increase my market value, so no thanks.
