I disagree with Stevens here, it takes two to tango. You don't just "Sign" the contract. GGG also said he would fight Canelo and has been offered his biggest payday ever but has he "Sign the contract?", does that mean GGG is chatting rubbish? No! it takes two to tango. The only fighter who i can remember is Eubank jr and he too wants the same thing that GGG wanted from Canelo..........More money.

The Canelo offer to GGG was for September 2017. I don't see the big deal not signing off on the first offer when you have an entire year and 2 fights in between. Golovkin represents Alvarez's biggest fight, there's no reason to suggest the fight won't be there for Golovkin in Sept. '17 if he turns down the first offer and wants to negotiate.

If Canelo had made the offer for December '16, then I'm confident Golovkin would've signed it.
