And another thing. Right after the Wade fight when they knew they were next for Canelo or he'd have to vacate they refused to negotiate on weight. I understand he was Canelo's mandatory. I understand the weight limit is 160lbs. But why would they sabotage negotiations before they even began by refusing to budge on weight. What if Hopkins would've said 'I'm the champ and Oscar has to come to 160'. There would've never been a fight. These guys refuse to budge on anything or give up any advantages. Even with Brook they said no to 157. That's why GGG said Brook is to small when it was mentioned Brook would fight him at 157. Even with Edwin Rodriguez they tried to get him to fight at 164 with a 10lb rehydration limit while publicaly they were saying anyone from 154-168. There is something very fishy about this team. This whole thing is a scam, a hustle.

Canelo won't fight GGG for at leat another year. If he and Oscar won't budge on the flat fee offer, GGG can always accept it further down the line, if he wants to. He'd be crazy to accept it now though, with a whole year to negotiate.

Who knows, Golovkin might be a bigger PPV draw than Canelo by next Sept. 250k isn't exactly an impossible figure to beat..
