not sure that speed is enough to beat Golovkin either, but you simply cannot compare Golovkin to Mayweather

I think that Canelo is waaaaay fast enough to land on the ponderously slow Golovkin..... he will land first, and he will land often..... the issue for Canelo will be the same as the issue for everyone else..... can he stay in there with Golovkin for 12 rounds and survive the breaking-down process

Canelo's success with Golovkin will depend on how smart he is, because he has the tools..... he just needs to find the right gameplan/style

I would favor Golovkin now, but not by much, Canelo would be right in that fight
But speed wins most of the time, speed and timing can win fights and Golovkin has both. He isn't Khan fast but he has timing speed, like Tyson. Not sure if Canelo has the foot speed to handle that.

I didn't say Canelo can't land on GGG, i said he wouldn't have the footwork to properly counter or dodge GGG, Canelo is slow on his feet. Plenty of people landed on GGG and they still lost. What makes Canelo any different?

I wouldn't call Golovkin fast at all

and his combinations are somewhat predictable

if Canelo has a good gameplan he will be fine

You don't think Canelo's slow footwork would be a problem? I think a good speed fighter would give GGG a problem but Canelo is not that.

GGG understands how to work the ring and corner his opponents, can Canelo handle that? I think GGG is stronger than Canelo too. What clear advantages does Canelo have? Combinations? It's definitely not speed.

Gotta admit, its nice to have an actual GGG-Canelo conversation for once

              You can't compare those situations.

When Ward isn't even in Golovkin's weight class. Whereas Canelo held the WBC MW title.

The pressure should definitely be on Canelo to fight Golovkin and not on Golovkin to move up and fight Ward. If Canelo didn't want people to bring up Golovkin he should've stayed at 154. But as soon as he fought for the WBC belt and claimed the title, all bets are off.

Plus he's still MW Linear champion so he's fair game for ducking GGG. Don't like the heat? Vacate the title!

so, why did lil'G refuse to fight Canelo at " middleweight "?

well 160 is middleweight too, canelita can came at 155 if he want just let the MW champion came at the limit of 160 just like all MW championship battle throughout history.

but nooooooowww.... lil g must be weakened so canelita and fishnet can feel safe

For once? Seems like youve been absent for months...

Alvarez vs Golovkin is not about "speed." Aivarez at 160, which is the course for 2017, has the firepower to keep Gennady off bay. Alvarez has more snap'n'thump than Wade, Stevens, Geale, Lemieux, Brook, Murray... Alvarez is younger, has put in the work going 12... The question is, can Gennady go 12 against Alvarez? Big bear aint gonna help this when youre getting hit by bombs

You feens don't understand that when a man holds a title in the division they are champions in that weight. Asking GGG who never fought professionally anywhere near 168 to fight the best 170lber is ridiculous.

It was crazy cause Ward wasn't even a beltholder at the time. GGG asked Canelo to fight him--no, Canelo was forced to fight GGG and punked out. theres no avoiding this fact.

Then when the Mexicutioner scared away the cinnamon kunt, the kunt went to 154 and then promised to not fight at that weight again.
