This would be a hell of a fight considering Pacquiao dominates Vargas & then Canelo gets weight-capped at like 165. Cinnabon would need the 20lb weight advantage.

Canelo is much too big for Pacquiao. It's been 3 years since Alvarez fought Mayweather & he had issues making the cw then. No way does he make a cw and meet a rehydration clause now. Just like the innuendo earlier this week about a Floyd rematch, this is nothing more than a ploy to garner interest in the Vargas fight.

not defending Pac, but it really is unrealistic

be a different story if Canelo was a welter

I like Canelo, he is coming on real good..... but I would likely favor Manny at 147, even now

it is all about the weight

just like Mayweather beats Golovkin NOW at 154

          yep, even now

mainly because Golovkin would simply not be the same fighter at 154, no way..... but also because of Mayweather's style

he is a freak, and he has only been away from the ring for about a year..... Floyd is getting old, but he is a freak, I think he beats Golovkin even now because of the weight

Everytime i say damn i think this guy is too big for pac, or damn think pac is in way over his head on this one, he surprises me and finds a way to win. On the other hand pac is gonna get hit in his fights and a big shot fron nelo and it might be lights out. Still an intriguing fight.

To be honest if there was a CW and Canelo couldn't re-hydrate then yes I would give Pac a strong chance to beat him. Khan caused Canelo all sorts of problems and he doesn't have the same power as Pac and isnt nearly as tough.

                Outboxes Canelo?

                That's a lie Roach.

Pac might win, but not by outboxing him. Pac doesn't outbox anyone, he swarms and overwhelms them with volume punches and sheer activity.

There's a lot more to it than the weight. It's the muscle & strength that would be lost in getting down to 154. It's also the overall depletion from nutritional deprivation & the shock to the body from actually putting it into starvation mode. Anyone who does that to themselves in preparation for a fight puts themselves at a severe disadvantage. Who logically wouldn't want to be in peak condition & their biggest and strongest, before getting into a fight?

yea, like I said, the MAIN reason why Floyd beats Golovkin now is because of the weight.....

..... but the weight may not have been such an issue if it wasn't for Mayweather's style.....

..... no way does a depleted Golovkin beat the defensive genius that is Mayweather
