I slam the side that is trying to scam/take advantage of the fighters.
Just take one side rather than look at both sides and get an idea of what the big picture really is. As a fan if you aren't looking at both sides with scrutiny then nobody would expect a level headed discussion with that individual let alone a debate without bias.
If GBP fools fighters into signing an unfavourable contract, well that's the fighter's fault. MAes GBP a crook but fighter's still should be held accountable for signing a legally binding contract.
If only there was a manger/advisor smart enough to advise fighters against being fooled by Golden Boy.....
Fighters have the right to turn down fights that they don't feel comfortable with, so obvious the risk versus reward side of it works out fine, regardless of what you're implying.
and fighters can choose to sign GBP's "slave contracts"
sigh, Haymon groupies don't think their arguments through....Haymon and GBP are both snakes.
oh the irony of someone whose contracts guarantee no minimum number of fights and no minimum purses calling someone elses contracts "slave contracts" lol

Well sure. That's exactly what I said. They had the option to reject the contract or get someone to read on the terms. Whether they did or they didn't, at the end of the day, they signed the contract.
Unless that contract isn't valid, then what exactly am I supposed to do? Complain about a promoter wanting a fighter to honour a contract he decided to sign, as unfair as the terms are?

Fighters are free to leave Haymon at any time. As we saw with Matthysse, Dirrell, and the other guy who just left. Can you say the same about other managers?
So Haymon didn't "steal" Golden Boy fighters. He had an out clause for his fighters and advised them against signing bad contracts. And he paid Oscar handsomely for their release. Just like Ortiz managers/promoter paid handsomely for his release. The truth will always come out.
