This post if for the people who think GG should acceot 10 mill and have a memory like a goldfish.
I will remind you how we got to this stage.

1. Cotto pays GG money so he doesn't have to face him. Everyone, INCLUDING conela know GG team are waiting for their turn at the wbc middleweight title.

2. Conela collect title but says hang on a minute i am too small for mw, let me fill out in a tune up fight. GG team says ok, don't want fo force the issue, just want our turn at fighting for the title.

3. Conela/DLH shafts team gg by choosing a welterweight as first pick. After conela knocked out khan, GG was invited into the ring and told 'mexicans dont **** around, ill fight you tonight'

4. Team GG finally realises conela played them for a fool, so forces the issue with wbc.
They are WILLING to take the 30% or whatever the purse is, they just want to fight for the title.

5. Conela vacates without even a negotiation taking place. Says they will fight later.

6. Team GG says thats fine, but now we have the most prestigious title, along with the other two, so if u want to fight in future its no mandatory challenger wages, you had your chance and screwed us over.

7. Golden girl now stipulate the fight must be negotiated behind closed doors, but at their convenience let the media know about the offer to get the ****** fans who believe them put the blame on Golovkin.

Do you see why they not taking the scraps conela/DLH are throwing them?

Why have you referenced Canelo's fight with Floyd from over 3 years ago, when he was a kid who had nothing to lose and everything to gain?

It's moronic to do direct comparisons when the circumstances are so different.

Canelo is NOT Floyd.

Without a big named opponent he doesn't do huge numbers.

Yes, he deserves the bigger split. There's no doubt about that. But his fight against Cotto did almost $60m, and this could do significantly more. Now since he can't make as much money fighting anyone else, it's only fair that Oscar sits down to reach a compromise.

Forget about who did what in the past, and instead concentrate on what's happening right now.

This fight can do anything between $60-80m, and possibly more.

A flat fee is BS, and anyone who's knowledgeable and objective knows it.

If ggg wants the fight then he's gonna have to accept Canelo's terms. That simple!

Fighting GG gives Canelo more money than fighting 3 guys who aren't big names.

Go and look at his purses and the PPV numbers with Angulo, Lara and Smith etc.

They both need each other.


Of course GG beating BJS and Jacobs would give him more leverage. If GG beats them it gives him every belt in the division and it takes BJS and Jacobs out of the equation. 1) Criticizing De la Hoya for having worn women's clothing while being drunk and partying... WTH does that have to do with anything? Business wise he is sharp as a razor. And he was just as sharp as a boxer. And he is a great person as well. Are you anybody at all, compared to him and his achievements?

2) Calling Mexican people idiots and a "herd of sheep" because SOME Mexicans are Canelo fans. Mentioning the word "Mexican" three times. Somebody is a little biased and full of hate here, right? FYI most Mexicans aren't even into boxing, they are into soccer, almost 90% when it comes to sports, and the other 10% would be a mixture of several other sports, boxing included. He may be American-Mexican in his blood and probably has dual citizenship, but the guy always fought for the U.S. and got his Gold Olympic medal as an American, for the U.S. of course, in 1992. That's why he is called "the Golden Boy" FYI. Bottom line he is not a "Mexican" like Canelo is, you ignorant. AMOF most Mexican boxing fans dislike (or even hate) ODLH because he defeated JCC senior twice, when the latter was completely out of his prime, with drug addiction issues, and made a fool of himself in front of De la Hoya, to the point of quitting on the stool in their 2nd fight and never admitting that. To most Mexicans, De la Hoya isn't even a Mexican at all.

4) Calling Canelo a "pansy" because he chose to drop the middleweight belt (most likely because his promoter ordered him to do so, for business reasons, not because Canelo is afraid of GGG which I'm 100% sure he is not, and I am not even a fan of Canelo per se).

1. Look at his numbers and his purses against Angulo, Lara, Trout and Kirkland etc. His poor figures against Smith wasn't a one off. Yes, he outsells GG. Yes, he deserves the bigger split. But this guy is not Floyd Mayweather or Oscar De La Hoya. Unless he fights a popular fighter who's a big name, he doesn't do huge numbers.
