It would make no sense for him to accept Oscar's first offer when he has a whole year to negotiate for something better.
The 6 million was a rough estimate either way he earns more with canelo than 2 nights work with bjs and jacobs think of the sponsorship deals that will be thrown golovkins way in a fight with canelo companys will be begging to have their name attached to the fight

Also golovkin beating bjs and jacobs will do nothing to gain him leverage in negotiating with oscar canelo is their cash cow and will always be the A side due to his higher profile among casual fans and Mexican support golovkin should take the offer beat him and it will maximize his purses for the rest of his short career

Remember why the Brook/Khan fight didn't happen?

Khan wanted an 80/20 purse split, in his favour, because he was the "name" in that match and had many more fans than Brook.

If I remember right, Eddie Hearn countered that by offering Khan 60/40. So even Hearn, Brook's promoter, aknowledged that Khan, who would have been the challenger for Kell's IBF title, was the A side of the two.

Well Mayweather was still selling over 900k for the Maidana fights and over a million each time out before that. Canelo is only bringing in 300k with these lower tier guys. GBP really has to still build Canelo into that type of attraction. The quickest path to that type of stardom is through Golovkin. Either that or they will just have to be content with their only star bringing in a meager 300k. Its a decent number but not when thats your only superstar and the new "face of boxing" so to speak.

Ofc Khan would be A side but Kell is name too,People wanted this fight, but its not like Canelo-GGG where Canelo is Big A side,i didnt saw Eubank-BJS as some huge fight, can you tell me a payouts?

65-35 would be ok for Brook-Khan but Khan make a bigger fight with Alvarez and now he still has options to jump on Brook or Garcia so it was good move imo.For Canelo GGG 70-30 is okish

Canelita is in no position to call any shot, he is no floyd , he has been beaten, he does not have 4 belts, his last ppv fight made miserable 220k PPV. He can go f him self if he really think he is a super star everyone knows he is a ducker and a ginger face hoe who droped the belt and ran from the hills from GGG. The G man will beat hopekins record and move to 168 leaving cun-tnelo forever his lil b1tch.
When will GGG move to 168?? 2020??? 2022?? BS!!! He's already 35 he ain't moving up and you can take that to the BANK!!! At best he does a 163-64 CW.

Oscar thought that Floyd's retirement leaving the Mexican holiday dates available to Canelo would take the income from his fights to a new level.

He booked an 80,000 seater stadium for Canelo/Smith and was talking about 600k+ PPV numbers.

Look what happened - 30,000 empty seats in the stadium and only 250k PPV buys.

Canelo is not the huge draw that you and others seem to think he is.

I dont think anyone currently active will hit floyds numbers again fans are sick of ppv fights being a let down canelo is the best of a bad bunch when it comes to sales neither of them will do great numbers like 1 million without each other

Oscar was also talking about 2mln with Cotto so dont take it to serious ,his promotor Doe,if Canelo will have some dramatic problems with pulling cash, they can call GGG,but its not a case,i think that Lamule-Canelo is 500k fight(beside Lamule is total bum)
