Oscar thought that Floyd's retirement leaving the Mexican holiday dates available to Canelo would take the income from his fights to a new level.

He booked an 80,000 seater stadium for Canelo/Smith and was talking about 600k+ PPV numbers.

Look what happened - 30,000 empty seats in the stadium and only 250k PPV buys.

Canelo is not the huge draw that you and others seem to think he is.

I'm not denying that G's competition has been weak. But to say that he is ducking because he won't take a deal that they are giving is BS. When are they suppose to fight? Some time next year?

this fight will never happen. its clear golden boy has chosen to fight ggg in the media instead of in the ring. if they can fool enough people into thinking ggg is ducking they can continue with canelo's bum fights. it worked for floyd somewhat when he offered manny 40 million. you had morons on here saying manny was ducking when manny was worth more than 200. most people thought floyd was a coward and most people think canelo is a coward but he will still get enough people to buy his crappy fights while he ducks and thats all that matters.
