Obviously the TS is an insufferable, overly defensive douche and it's hard to have an adult conversation with people like that.
Ha. Why are you butt hurt?

You're the douche who gets all butt hurt because I don't agree with people like you shoving the MMA agenda down boxing fan's throats.

I would be money I know more about MMA history than you do.

I've been watching it since way back....yet it has no influence at all on whether or not I choose to watch boxing...

It could be the most stacked MMA card on versus an ESPN Friday Night Fight and I'd choose the ESPN boxing over an MMA card. My preference.

What I don't get is idiots like you who keep trying to convince boxing fans that MMA is taking over and that Boxing is losing fans to MMA....

Ok, ding dong, any boxing fan who consider boxing to be their favorite sport has a choice to watch both. MMA can be as popular as you make it out to be but it isn't going to stop any true boxing fan from watching boxing.

It's simpletons like you that try to convince people that it is. The thing is, you idiots keep trying to convince boxing fans on a boxing forum as though you're getting some type of incentive!!

Is that you Mike Pyle? Is that you Dennis Siver? Is that you Chael Sonnen?

    Haha...idiot....

    YOU HAVE NO ARGUMENT!!!!

Go post on Sherdog or MMA Junkie. How about trying to convince MMA fans that boxing is dead? Not rocket science.

Seems to be MMA FanBoys who are butt hurt...

It's like going on a baskeball forum and trying to convince the users that the NFL is taking their fans away and that basketball is dead....

Boxing fans are ******. Granted I am a boxing fan & I don't think of myself as ****** & plenty of cats here got opinions I respect & look forward to reading often times, but I think largely this is still true of the masses.

I'm only a fan of combat sports & legitimately no combat sport has dumber f#cking fans than boxing. Everyone is a bum after a L. Everyone thinks the status quo of too many chiefs not enough indians is just fine, boxers just need to quit being p#ssies & fight each. Hell some even argue pro-4 world champions & pro-marinating fights bs these days like they are f#cking promoters themselves.

Boxing would never die. I have been watching it for over 30 years. Will always be my number #1 sport over any.

UFC dont care to much for it but they do put up better fight cards then boxing at times. You dont have every fighter there trying to play promotor and stalling fights to squeeze every last possible penny out a promotion.

The UFC has what boxing fans want. The best fighting the best on a regular basis.

But a lot of boxing fans tend to dislike mma, probably because they feel threatened.

For centuries, each area of the world practiced particular styles of hand-to-hand combat, including striking, grappling, or usually both.

Karate, TKD, muay thai, muay boran, boxing, wrestling, jiu-jistsu, judo, etc.

Each culture thought their M.A. was superior, so awhile back people wanted to prove it, once and for all.

MMA was born, and quickly showed that a person who only trained in one style would get utterly destroyed by a well-rounded fighter that trained in several styles.

The best boxers in the world would likely beat any mma fighter in a boxing ring.

Anywhere else... anyfúckingwhere, a boxer gets demolished. Cage, kickboxing ring, dojo, wrestling mat, and especially the street.

The HW boxing champion used to be seen as the man, but that's in the past. Now, the HW mma champion is the top dog. Because toe-to-toe, no rules, no holds barred, the mma fighter wins.

I know it must sting for you dumbfúcks that think the world ends at the coastlines of America, but you shouldn't worry too much.

Just enjoy boxing for what it is: a striking discipline that has perfected the art of stand-up, hands-only combat.

In reality, boxing fans should enjoy watching mma to see guys like Conor Mcgregor and Junior Dos Santos apply boxing skills and thus reminding the rest of the world how those hands can be deadly af.

I like watching striking-based M.A. forms, especially boxing, kickboxing, and muay thai (because I trained in them), but that doesn't stop me from liking mma and what it has given to world of hand-to-hand combat.

Now stop being fúckboys and learn to appreciate both.
Have to disagree with you on that because the UFC has rules too. UFC caters to the ground fighters and favors grapplers so a fighter can't use soccer kicks or reign down elbows and stuff like that when they pull guard on the ground.

Street fight is different, anything goes and there are more variables to it. A MMA fighter pulls guard in a real street fight, he's getting his head stomped on. And if a wrestler can't take you down, he's fked. Cain vs Junior 1 is a perfect example, Cain couldn't take Junior down and got ktfo. And besides, MMA stand-up is horrendous compared to boxers.

UFC is gobbling up boxing right now, they have a better product, they build household names in America, Ronda Rousey is well known and is doing big budget films, Conor McGregor is a star also known with more instagram followers over 7 million.

Most boxers dont have personality and most Americans cannot relate to a Mexican boxer who looks like they work mowing lawns who can barely speak English and fights at featherweight.

Pacquiao is the exception to the rule, it still baffles me how this guy was accepted by the mainstream, he is an action fighter exciting the most exciting fighter in the last 20 years, but he became super famous and is a stereotypical Filipino who dresses like a guy fresh off the boat and still wears flip flop with socks, and lived with 20 deep in his condo.
