I remember at one point in time when this rivalry was being billed as this generations Oscar vs. Vargas.

I'm in the minority. I don't think Ortiz deserves to get beaten up like this. He has a lot of thinking to do

Both fighters would be happy to cash in. Just don't expect Ortiz to fight like he fought Berto in their first fight. That Ortiz was long gone since Lopez broke his jaw.

          Make it an undercard fight.

Two prime aged guys who are shot due to not maintaining year round professionalism. Still, these guys are young with Rios only 30 and Ortiz 29. This could be the last big fight for both guys. That rivalry is personal and real. You have to imagine that both guys would take this fight seriously and train like hell for it. Maybe these two guys would bring out the best in each other. This fight would be all out war while it lasts. Bam Bam looked like garbage in the Bradley fight. I'd expect him to come correct in this one and take Ortiz out in the later rounds.

Who cares? That train left the station a long time ago.

It's funny, Ortiz has the skill but not the heart while Rios has the heart but not the skill. Ortiz should be able to beat Rios but he won't because he'll quit once Rios turns up the pressure.

Great, just what every fight fan wants to see, two human punching bags sharing the same ring !! This bout would've meant something years ago, but now both fighters are shot and should retire after the fight.

Both are past it, Ortiz even more.
