if it were a 10000%, unequivocal win, it would rank as one of the top flukes in boxing. pac will then immediately retire from boxing and turn gay. vargas will lose his next fight like all the other flukers before him did.

He could make big money fighting Crawford and if he beats Pacquiao then I think he could beat Crawford. I don't think he is good enough to beat Crawford and I think he has very little chance of beating Pacquiao. He is just an opponent who happens to own a piece of the world welterweight title. He is there to get his ass kicked, hand over his belt and collect his pay. He has a small puncher's chance to win but it's very unlikely. He is a huge underdog because Bradley already beat him easily for 11 of the 12 rounds. Pacquiao is a step up from Bradley.

I'd rather see him lose, tbh, so we can focus completely on current fighters. Too many young fighters in their primes are getting away with fighting rarely and fight less attractive opponents. I just want the May/Paq era gone completely and move on to the next.

Ideally Crawford or Bradley I imagine. Or probably thinking about it a little bit a rematch with Manny as long as Manny doesn't retire. I can hear Roach saying how Manny wasn't serious last time, he's serious now already.

Whatever happens I can't see Vargas becoming some sort of draw or superstar or what have you.

All that said I can't really fathom how Vargas beats Manny assuming we get the Manny from the Bradley W last time out or a more or less similar version of Manny.

Then Arum throws him in with Crawford!

If Vargas won, I think many guys would be knocking on his door because it would show that Pac has faded.

I think many would think he's an easy route to get a belt off of.

Bradley will be there at ringside doing commentary for the Pacauiao fight, so it'd be pretty convient to lay down the challenge.
If he rematches Bradley that would be ideal, and awesome.

Hopefully Manny actually retires if he does lose.

That would only happen with rational people if Pacquiao showed some notable regression in the ring compared to the Manny we saw in his past several fights. Otherwise, Vargas would be just another example of an underdog coming through.
