Is Callum Smith just another hypejob?

Seems to be in line for a shot at the James DeGale vs. Badou Jack winner. Yet he hasn't actually fought anybody of note? Keeps appearing on undercards fighting absolute no-hopers. His best wins are European level. Looks like he's going to skip a whole stage of development and will likely be exposed on the biggest stage.

On UK tv they talk about him like he's an absolute beast and a guarenteed future champion, a nightmare proposition for any of the current top fighters. For example, the pundits are split when talking about fights such as Callum vs. DeGale.

Oh i meant Forum, but i dont get why they talk about him like that, his solid, good guard, some counter punching basics, but there are better fighters in 168 such as champions, but who knows James wasnt looking so good in his last fight.I dont see him as a beast or some long time champ.his footwork and offensiv arsenal are limited.

In a division as weak as 168 you can be a B level fighter and still be world champion there.

            Case in Point:

            James Degale
            Badou Jack
            Felix Strum

I didn't call them bad but they're critically flawed and lack that specialness to make up for it. Strum is just washed up and undersized. Even if Callum Smith is only half as good as they say he is, he could still beat Degale, Jack, and Strum.

Zurdo will be the class of the division and the only possible A level fighter there currently.

He's still developing, but Callum is the best of the Smith brothers IMO. He's solid already and is still getting better.

Hes been poorly matched and badly prepared for a fight vs the winner of Jack vs Degale.

I think he is good but has some glaring flaws that would have been exposed and probably ironed out if he had fought a few top 10 guys
