One of the best fighters of his era, definitely HOF material.

NOT ATG - if you took the best 5 welterweights of the 10's, 00's, 90's, 80's, he wouldn't pick up many wins.

Although ironically in prime version, I would pick him to beat all the current champions with ease.

Don't know about ATG. I'd imagine if you made a list of the top 100 boxers up to this point, he wouldn't make it.

No. He has never fought at that level. Good fighter, tough fighter, very good career, but definitely not a ATG.

Take Cotto at his best weight class, he wouldn't be a great in every era. HOF yes, ATG no.

I wouldn't put cotto in atg status nor Odlh. Cotto had the talent but his ego and greed got in the way. He kick his uncle evangelista to the curb after a money dispute and cotto was never the same. The beast that evangelista made would have most certainly beat pac and Floyd. Cotto has only himself to blame. Hof for sure.

no, no, no, not even remotely close to an ATG, barely a hall of famer. Cotto is the most overrated fighter of this century, when he fought someone who was healthy and a good fighter, he lost almost every time. examples being:

Trout- lost by a distance
Margarito- Beaten up and stopped
Mayweather- lost by a distance
Pacquiao- Dropped twice, beaten up, and stopped
Canelo- lost by a distance

Fair enough they are top fighters but the fights werent even close lol

That is not a great CV to me at all. Mosley was a good win but then again a few other fighters beat mosley far easier than cotto did and it was a very very narrow win

we act as if theres a big assed crew hanging out at the ATG clubhouse. theres like 5, MAYBE 10, people in that club. and no, cotto isnt one of them. but its no shame to him and others.
