The lies just seem to flow from Arums lips so easily. It's as if he actually believes what he's saying.

    Crazy.

Hey if he can pull it off, more power to him. If he can't I hope he doesn't short the fighters because of it.

The headline, and the premise of this report is actually undercutting previous reports. HBO passed on Manny/Vargas because they already have a PPV at the end of the month. It was reported all over the place, not sure how it now has turned into Arum turning HBO down. I wonder if the writer considered this before publishing, this article is confusing.

Lets face the facts. The only time that that Top Rank produces its own PPV is when they can't convince HBO to broadcast it for them. Arum produced several PPVs featuring Antonio Margarito....before he had his block knocked off by Shane Mosley. Does anyone actually believe that Arum did that because he thought he could make Margarito a PPV star?

Arum is producing this PPV because HBO refused to touch it. Pacquaio's next PPV will be against Crawford, and, miraculously, Arum's relationship with HBO will suddenly improve and Arum won't care about the 7.5 percent of the revenue that HBO takes for the PPV broadcast.

HBO wanted Crawford vs Pacquiao. Arum said NO.
Crawford is fighting John Molina next.

                  Exactly.

Title of the article should be: "How Arum Decided to Do Pacquiao-Vargas Himself After HBO Turned It Down."

The fight will do around 150 thousand ppv buys, but it will be exciting and has a great undercard.
