    It is so simple.

Arum only wants their guys to fight each other.

This is not the best rival possible so because of that is the lack of interest.

A decent PPV match would be Pac vs. either Thurman or García.

Turned down? Pretty sure i read HBO didn't want the fight because it was too close to the Ward-Kovalev PPV.

TR has been doing non-HBO activities for the past months like hiring their own round-by-round commentators with Crystina Poncher, who conducts pre and post fight scripted interviews with Arum. Clearly a sign of going independent.

This has nothing to do with opponent choice this is Bob throwing a fight a fortnight two weeks before the culmination of a year project out together by HBO.

If Bob had this fight pencilled in months before or early next year it'd be on HBO, he's a greedy bastard with no regard to HBO's plan.

And that’s fine by Arum, the only promoter in boxing regularly willing to use much of his own money to take these types of risks.
And that's why Arum is able to make good fights while others are asking for 2 week extensions on fights. That's also why his fighters aren't 34 years old with not top 10 wins on their resumes. Sometimes you gotta be willing to lose money in order to set up bigger fights down the road that will recoup your losses and make a profit.

I don't know why people kept on calling him "Greedy Arum" He made great fights, Crawford-Postol, and now Loma-Walters. He is losing money to keep up with his fighters. He always puts on the best fights when needed to.

Yep. I wrote a thread a coupe weeks ago saying Top Rank was the #1 promoter this year. They've put on the most consistent and solid cards.

Really. I can't blame arum for being his usual dishonest, promoter self. But, this author is embarrassing himself by carrying top rank's water and trying to spin this bull**** narrative that they turned hbo down, which everyone knows isn't the case.

Whether HBO wanted the fight or not, Arum nor any other promoter should be waiting on HBO to provide dates for them. That is why so many fighters, not just PBC fighters, are inactive. HBO is likely to provide you with 2 fights per year and the caliber of opponent depends on the budget. That's why there have been so many mismatches on HBO the last 2 years. Don't get me wrong, HBO has had 2 great fights this year in Salido-Vargas and Cuadras-Chocolatito, but the rest have been garbage. Crawford fought a garbage fight with Lundy and had to fight Postol on PPV because HBO couldn't afford the fight. Now he's lucky that Canelo and GGG aren't fighting this year so he can have one last fight or else he would have only fought once this year on HBO.
HBO only cares about GGG, Canelo and to some point Chocolatito. Other fighters aren't really their priority and will be lucky to receive dates unless its fighters who they pay less than 500,000.

Has anybody seen this "All In" yet?

                      Says it started Monday.

“The shoulder program, which appeared on HBO, whether it was 24/7 or a cut-down version, that’s very expensive and it’s paid for by us,” Arum explained. “In other words, it’s shown on HBO, but the promoter pays the expenses of it. So Todd came up with this. ‘Let’s take that money that we’re paying HBO to show it only on HBO, and let’s do shoulder programming in a different way, in a more modern way,’ and we have. We call it, ‘All In.’ It will be flooding all of the Internet, all of the social media sites [started Monday]. Whether it’s Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, you’re gonna see it and different versions of it [until fight night].
