Apparently, Golovkin & his team disagree with you on how great Oscar's offer was.
last time the scale said canelo was 154 lbs of pure lean muscle while ggg was 159, then adding a bunch of water 24 hrs later is a different story... fight night weights dont define weight classes in boxing and you as a boxing fan should know this... if the rules change then we could have a different conversation...

You must have just ignored the first part of my post. The statement was an attention getter, to get some notoriety for a then little-known fighter from Kazakhstan.

Team GGG are idiots and have shown that many times.

You really never wonder why K2 seems to always be the issue?

But whatever. hopefully they dont string it along and lose out

just before canelo vacated they also said they will fight canelo on a CW if he vacated the title, so canelo vacated and a few days later ggg was asked on national tv about negotiating a weight in order to make the canelo fight, his answer was NO...
they only want to cherry pick on the weight classes, they are willing to do it for the likes of froch, chavez, floyd, etc, but when it comes to real threats like canelo, lara or ward no way...

So why gain 15-20lbs of water weight shortly after weigh-in? Because the body tries to return to it's natural weight after such a sudden, drastic loss. Let's not act like water weight gain is insignificant; the body is 70% water, with much of it in the muscles. Alvarez is still young, and able to get away with cutting so severely, but time is running out for him to be able to do that. Oscar's talking about having Cinnamon fight @ MW, "when his body grows into it". What he really means, is that he'll fight @ MW when he will no longer be able to cut down to 155.

If what you say is true...SO??? Who's going to disadvantage themselves in any given situation, so that they may lose??? Everyone is looking for an angle to give themselves an advantage. To protest that is just silly.
