    Korean Hawk

    jung koo chang appreciation thread ,Chang was WBC light flyweight champ from 1983-88 ,Chang beated 2 ex-world champs before his first shot,but lost by 15 raund SD to Zapata in rematch he KOed Zapata in 3rd and became Champ ,he defended title 16 times to set a record broken by another Korean.Then retire and come back with no succes,he is first Korean in HoF and outstanding fighter i recommend his carrere to watch.Show him some love,asian fighters are forgoten in sport of boxing.WAR Hawk and long live champ

    I'll take Yuh Myung-woo everyday, but he was good, his win over Zapata was his defining performance, but he wasn't impressive, a good pressure figher, Gonzales beat him in a good fight.

      Yuh Myung-woo,i checked him out some top noch counter punching,also i wanted to give some love to Hawk cuse he was hell of a warrior,flyweight allways competetive and have crazy amount of talent,same as CW very underrated.

        They are the two best korean fighters ever, my favorite is Sung Kil Moon though, but you are right, the low classes aren't getting respect and cruiserweight has been an underappreciated division even when the likes of Louis and Dempsey would have been cruiserweights.

          Im more and more interested in asian boxing,i will check out if there was some good Chinese boxers also idian.boxing is realy deep topic to learn about.

            I'm not much in either Indian or Chinese boxing, unless we are talking about amateur boxing.
            I hate Zou Shimming, he is the most overrated amateur boxer ever, but there is a Chinese welterweight that is a fun to watch, in the case of India i only follow Shiva Tapa, who is a really good boxer puncher that got eliminated early in Rio by the eventual champion, Robeisy Ramirez, it was really unfair to put them in the first round of the competition.

                  Thanks Dan,also i just checked that China have no history in boxing cuse it was banned for long time becuse it was "Brutal and ruthless like capitalism" ROFL,only some medals in amateurs in 21century.Comunism
