Him Manny and Floyd are all ATGs. I rank Bernard's accomplishments higher. I understand some will disagree.

He’s broken the significant records of all-time greats (including Carlos Monzon and George Foreman), he was undisputed champ at middleweight, a three-time light heavyweight titleholder (including linear champ status), and he arguably challenged himself more than any other “elite” boxer of the past 15 years.

He never ducked an opponent and fought all of the greats. He took on the greats in the division when he went higher up.

Any ATG conversation like this needs to include RJJ, simple.

I think he is an all time great right now. He just happens to still be fighting and fighting unbelievably well for a man over 50 years old. He holds the all time record for consecutive middleweight title defenses with 20 successful title defenses in a row. He was past 40 when he finally lost the middleweight title to Taylor in a fight many thought he won. He also holds the record for being the oldest man ever to win a world title. If he isn't an all time great then nobody is an all time great. He accomplished all this while getting off to an extremely late start in pro boxing due to being in prison. He turned pro at 30 years old. If he could have turned pro at age 20 he could have done much more than the great things he did with his late start. Since getting out of prison he completely turned his life around for the best. He has never even had a traffic ticket since leaving prison. He is a great roll model for anyone who did bad things and wants to live a better life and be a better person.

Jones is still an active fighter and one of the greatest fighters of all time in my opinion and probably everybody's opinion. It's too bad he is just a shell of his old self now. Jones and Hopkins should both retire for health reasons. Older men are even more likely to suffer damage from hard head blows than younger men.The effects of brain damage suffered in the ring may not show up until years later. It sent Floyd Patterson to an early death and no doubt many other boxers who took too many hard head punches in too many fights over too many years. I love boxing but the human head wasn't really designed to be punched. It's a smart fighter who gets out early while they are still in their late prime to keep the total head punches they take to a minimum.
