If I'm the trainer and my fighter has all those qualities I'll tell him to bring the fight to PBF. Use his power and speed to attack his body in the first five rounds to slow him down and try to knock him out cold in the 6th up to the last round.

You see, PBF is a sleek and smart fighter and with his reputation I don't think anybody would win against him by points. The judges would always give him all the closely contested rounds so the only way to beat the guy is to knock him
    out cold.

Remember that Zab was doing very well in the early rounds of their fight and if Zab was only able to keep on the pressure it could have been a different result.

Got to take the risk on this baby!
    no doubt

even if a round is close, if mayweather looks better technically (he always does)no doubt he'd get the round

I would train for stamina. I would run my ass off and spar thousands of rounds. Then when I fought I would just stay as close in as possible and keep on throwing punching at him non stop until I either collapse from exhaustion or my punches get to him. F***k accuacy, just hit him all over the arms, the chest, wherever you can make contact, rough him up wherever possible, use dirty tactics if neccessary and you'd have to be prepared to get hit.

i would get to the best condition possible and then maximise my power and batter the **** out of his body in first round and then he will be a bit cautious and then aim for nothing but his body and throw a few head combos in

The tactics people are describing seems to be the way Ricky Hatton fights, or at least has done recently.

Run the ring, Mayweather is ready for 36 rounds, you have to be ready for 48.

How much speed and power are we talking here?

I'd get my guy training stamina, as other people have said.

If my fighter has quite a lot of power, this is what i'd do. Forget about winning on points. Have my fighter ready to fight 30 rounds if needs be - that should make up for bodyshots that floyd might but on my fighter.

My strategy would be called '2 for 1'. I'd tell me fighter to try to ignore floyds shots, don't duck or dudge or move your head. Try to get one shot in for every two you take. Hitting floyd one to one is gonna be impossible unless your SRL or meldrick taylor or something. don't swing wildly. Bide your time, let him hit you, then, when he's about to throw that next punch throw a short concise punch. forget about avoiding his, as long as yours lands.

when he's not throwing at you, rough him up hopkins style. elbows, head, clinches, pushes. Push him to the floor. Obviously not knockdowns, but hopefully pbf will get frustrated or angry/ Do anything you can to disturb his rhythm and pace. Lead on his arms so he gets tired. Every foul in the book, use it, and skillfully so the ref is on the other side. It's boxing, your there to win, and what the ref can't see, he can't call.

Act unexpectedly. fake him out by acting hurt, fall into the ropes, then when he stalks you, charge him. Throw both hands out at the same time. Irritate him and pressure him. Try to get him careless. Nobodies done it so far, but he seems like the type who potentially could get angry and lose a game plan, so use that to your advantage. Whisper insults in his ear. STuff like that.

              Be as unsportsmanlike as possible.

Crowd him and give him constant pressure. Floyd's most dangerous when he's alowed to think...don't let him.

before the fight, i would talk an ungodly amount of ****. id tell him that im gonna **** his wife, eat his kids, put his dad in a wheelchair, piss in his mouth, etc. really get under his skin, so that he wants to knock me the **** out. its what duran did to ray leonard, and it worked...leonard tried to bring the fight to him, and played into duran's hands.

id gun for the body and stay close, wrestle with him, hit on the break, do whatever. id also be very busy with my punch output.

I think most of these strategies are effective but the problem is that even tho PBF isn't a "puncher" he has enough pop and accuracy to still hurt people . I agree you have to be willing to take shots but you have to remember that eventually they take they're toll, and he's willing to just win on points while not allowing you to hurt him.

well the description of the fighter was someone that could take a good punch. mayweather hits harder than he's given credit for, but do you think he could knock out someone like castillo?
