lets say your the trainer of a guy with good handspeed and power and can take a shot ,if he had to fight mayweather how would you tell him to go about it?

I'd tell him not to bother, because he'd have his ass handed to him.

If I was Hatton or Margarito, I'd look at the Castillo fights, and then walk Floyd down and put the pressure on and make him trade and wear him down.

Oscar and Cotto will have to box him a bit, and jump in on him and attack suddenly as they are not pressure type fighters.

Out of all the big guns mentioned above, Floyd is obviously the one with the peashooter. He has to figure out escape routes and throw up SRLeonard flurries to secure a win.

i'd tell my fighter to ignore floyd's head and always throw to the body. except when finishing a combination with a hook to the head, but only one. I'd tell him if he takes a good punch from Floyd to lean up on the ropes like he's hurt and when Floyd presses the action explode on him if you have it in you. that's how you catch floyd, by suprise when he's teeing off on you. That's how Corley caught him, almost KOd his ass with that right hook.

i'd instruct him to do just what zab judah did and if in trouble, lowblow him and finish off with a headshot if he gives it to you. hey this is boxing, and if you want to win you have to do what you have to. if my fighter knew how to throw a graceful headbuff like 'nard then I'd have him do that in the next round and hopefully only get a warning.

the key is getting him to get into an exchange, and not use the ring.

When Mayweather gets taken out, it won't be a systematic beating like he put on Gatti. It will be a one shot wonder that he doesn't see coming while he's teeing off. Much like Herol Graham getting KO'd by Julian Jackson.

Dude that's not boxing, that is street fighting. In the Corley fight he let Corley hit him, because people say that he does not exchange enough. He did not think that Corley had the power to knock him out. PBF was right!!! Watch that fight again, when Corley swung PBF just stood there. He is too smart to exchange. You are just going to have to catch him and put him to sleep...

I think that if your only plan is to stalk and cut off the ring you're in trouble, that was corrales mistake. I think you need a lot of punch output and you have to be willing to take shots to land some. The body punching is good to wear him down and you'll be more successful aiming for the body then pin pointing the head because of the reflexes. But the fighter would have to really believe they're going to win. But it's gonna be difficult no matter what plan you install.

DAMN! Good handspeed? Power? And can take a shot?

If I'm the trainer and my fighter has all those qualities I'll tell him to bring the fight to PBF. Use his power and speed to attack his body in the first five rounds to slow him down and try to knock him out cold in the 6th up to the last round.

You see, PBF is a sleek and smart fighter and with his reputation I don't think anybody would win against him by points. The judges would always give him all the closely contested rounds so the only way to beat the guy is to knock him
                  out cold.

Remember that Zab was doing very well in the early rounds of their fight and if Zab was only able to keep on the pressure it could have been a different result.

Got to take the risk on this baby!

I would get my conditioning A-1 and proceed to rush him all night long...you cant box him due to his speed and skills but presure will bust a pipe...rush him ass with tons of punches from all angles...I promise I would knock him out.....But hey Im far from a boxer but it would make for a great dream.....lol
