And I actually like this fight...if it was on regular HBO. Anyway, I think Pacquiao can continue to make noise at 147 if he gets by Vargas comfortably.
People had noticed before the third Bradley fight that Pacquiao had appeared to lose a step. He dug deep for that final fight which is great, but can he keep that up? I'd hate to see Pac push himself until he gets beaten up badly. It shouldn't take a royal ass whipping to realize it's time to hang them up. Mayweather realized it, hope Pacquiao does too.

I was a Floyd fan who is now a GGG fan, so aren't you the ****** one.
You call that snooze fest taking Pac's soul?? I call it taking our money and running.

To make matters worse he decides he'll prove he's still great by fighting Bradley a 3rd time and now he's taking on the great and mighty Vargas? No thanks. I supported a lot of his blatant cash grabs but I said no to Bradley 3 and I'll pass on Vargas.

Furthermore a part of me hates Pacquiao, and Mayweather, because they set up this BS blueprint for the new generation. Take easy fights and build the real fights up for years. As much as Pacquiao and Mayweather did for the sport I'm afraid they hurt it in the long run.
          Very true.

          • Im buying this PPV. I look forward to it the undercard is decent: Valdez vs. Osawa should deliver and Zhuo vs. Phaprom is level. Donaire vs. Magdaleno another interesting fight should have its moments.

i don't know what to think of that donaire vs magdaleno fight. donaire has looked kinda crappy lately. getting schooled by ancient darchinyan until the knock out, beat up and KO'd by walters. he hasn't fought anyone good since walters and looked pretty damn terrible against cesar juarez.

definitely an intriguing match-up. magdaleno may be catching him at the right time.

Add to that Ismael Salas is now training Donaire -- same guy that trained Rigo and is currently working with Lineal 135 champion Jorge Linares.

good call. i dont think that long distance over the phone thing with robert garcia was doing donaire any favors. might be a little too late to teach an old dog new tricks though. is this their first fight together?

I'm not sure, I think it is first time I heard of them working together.
