Upgrade in opponent IMO. Cota is tough but was lucky to run into the cubano when he was already punch drunk. Win this match and he has a common opponent with Kell brook. Not bad for this stage of his career.

least he's fighting him now on the come up and not later as title defense.

And no not yet for Lubin. Why have 2 guys climbing up the ranks that are both unproven fight each other?
I just want to see Lubin with some good competition NOW! I don't like the Gary Russell Jr. treatment he's getting. At the least, Lubin should be fighting every 4 months!

How about "older names" like Ishe Smith, or Austin Trout? Do you think Hurd is ready for that? How about Lubin?

This is clearly a step up for Hurd who is another one of those fighters will fight anyone they put in front of him, regardless of how unbeaten they are or how tough they. Respect to Hurd!

Lubin and he would be too early. I am not sure if he is ready for Trout but I think that should happen in 2 fights.

I dont want to have to watch Ishe.

I feel you on Ishe! I just get the feeling that Harrison and Hurd are being positioned for big things, and Lubin and Gausha are sitting in the waiting room! I want to see Lubin and Gausha get more love @ 154!
