The more I look at the history of these two fighters and how they fought recently I have to give the edge to Kovalev. Seems most folks favoring Ward are doing so on ancient history. looking at his last two fights I see a good fighter but no better than a lot of equally good light heavyweights that Kovalev has destroyed. Ward is simply not the same fighter he was before two operations and the long lay-off. All this talk about Kessler, how long do you think Kessler would have lasted against kovalev. Even worse is Wards powder punching has only gotten worse as he moved up in weight, he'll hit kovalev, tickle him then take a pounding in return. I predict the fight will go into the late rounds as Ward scores early then runs, grabs and hangs on for dear life.
