I did see Kov appear a little antsy in the BHop fight, but I never got the impression that he was frustrated. However, I will trust Ward's judgment more than my own when it comes to boxing...

I'm surprised by all the bashing of Ward and useless *****ing that goes on on this site in general. People are crying about headbutts and clinches. Others are talking about race. Little **** like this won't be reasons why either of the fighters win. Kov will need to keep Ward at the end of his punches (I don't think he will be able to all night). Ward will also throw that jab into Kov's body. I don't recall Kov getting hit by many body shots. In the later rounds, that will be super important and diminish Kov's power that everyone keeps harping on about. It will be interesting to see how Ward responds to that first Kov shot. If he shakes it off, Ward is going to break Kov down real bad. For some odd reason, this fight gives me a Crawford-Postol feel... It'll be a good fight...

Saying Ward isn't black because his dad is Irish American is silly. More importantly, it has 0 to do with boxing. Implying that most of the fighters who like Ward are black is also silly. As pro-America as white people appear to be, do you think none of them support an American Olympic gold medalist? Whoever wins will have get his due from the fans (black and white) and rightfully so. There's no need to be petty.

Kell Brooks was a very good boxer with fast hands. GGG took alot of shots and then just whacked him in the eye to end the fight. The same type of scenerio can happen with Ward. Andre will throw more but I still believe the damage Kovalev does will make up for it. Should be an interesting fight by I favor the bigger , proven chapion. Kovalev.

I wouldn't base anything relating to Ward vs Kovalev off of Golovkin vs Brook, it irks me when people bring that up.... there's no comparison to be made whatsoever. Kovalev is not Golovkin and Ward certainly isn't Brook.

Sounds like he underestimating Kovalevs skill a bit, he was impressive vs Bhop whose vaunted verbal diarrhea had no effect and he surgically smashed him up.
As long as Sergey stays strong in the head and fights smart not angry he can put a beating on Ward but tough fight
Dont let Ward gay it up, stay sharp and cool

youre going to get a real shock in the ring mate. youre a pampered diva, had it all your own way the last few years, fighting overmatched opponents, sueing managers, people telling you how great you are cause you beat carl froch by a round, five years ago. when that first big shot lands you will panic, youll realise youre finally fighting someone who can fight back, a hungry proven champion who hits twice as hard as you. you say you dont enjoy boxing, well after this fight you are going to like it even less.

I love how we hardly hear anything from Kovalev, while Ward is trying to convince everyone & himself that he'll win this fight handily. Two words Andre: WE'LL SEE.

Heavy hitters who bring the hurt are always labeled bullies and monsters, their opponents daring and courageous, when they lose they are exposed. Point-scorers who bring no fight are labelled super skilled, opponents not even mentioned, get the benefit in every round unless you hurt them or win clearly, when they lose "he was outboxing him until he got sparked"/"he got robbed". Just a realization. Ward has been studying up on Kovalev I see. Most fighters say they don't want to watch too much of their opponents, but Ward has always seemed like he studies them as much as the coach.
