Surprised Jack is getting so much attention and is getting picked. I think chunky outboxes him easily.

Yeah. I think I have recently made the transition into a hardcore fan of boxing and one of the shocking things I've noticed is how much people care about these networks, arguing about Showtime vs. HBO. The same rings true with promoters as people have "loyalties" to GBP or Top Rank or whoever and the hell. Sometimes, it makes me wonder if they are willing to support the network and promoters over the sport as a whole. It's very silly, IMHO. Some cats don't care about the quality of fights that are being made as long as this promoter made money. Ridiculous. No matter the promoters, network, etc., you have to love these fights.

What happened to all the new dates PBC were supposed to get for the remainder of this year? It's a joke. Pathetic. ****.

These are some very good fights. Yet this seems to help confirm PBC was a hoax. Fights like Jack-Degale and Charlo-Williams would be perfect on network tv. So free t.v. gets Garcia-bum of the month and Showtime gets 7 title fights. Awesome. Only thing that would be better is to make all these fights PPV. With Spence being after the Olympic men's basketball final, Haymon had a chance to really expand boxing's fanbase. He has blown it. If all PBC has left is a possible Thurman-Garcia clash, then why did they waste so much putting fights on NBC Sports, FS1, and Bounce-tv that featured no one better than a mediocre "prospect"??? These fights being on PBC would be great news. All these being on Showtime points to boxing being reserved for those who can afford cable or satellite AND extra premium channels. Poor people like boxing too! Poor people watch the NBA and NFL in such numbers that everyone involved is swimming in $100 bills. They did that to boxing when boxing was on network tv too. If Haymon was serious about making boxing return to that level of popularity, he would have announced these fights on PBC. How about a primetime slot on network tv featuring Charlo-Williams and Jack-Degale? Give Showtime Wilder-The Reptile, Wilder-Arreola, and Garcia-Vargas and give PBC fights that could actually make boxing more popular. That might actually move boxing back to regular television instead of premium channels and PPV bs.

I complain because when PBC was in it's infancy working-class Americans like myself were able to see J-Rock Williams in action on a toe-to-toe Tuesday and we saw Williams and Trout talking smack and promising to fight each other. Now Williams finally gets his much-deserved title shot. This is the best "prospect" outside of Spence. Now that J-Rock and Charlo are both finally in a real fight for the first time, it is on a premium channel. People who juggle 60 hour work weeks with raising a family should be able to enjoy boxing too. PBC gave us Broner-Porter and Thurman-Porter and an endless amount of top guy vs. opponent. I've been a "fan" of Haymon and he is still better than Arum and ODLH has been to busy smoking crack and Loeffler may be the worst. None of these people care about the fans and Haymon had a real chance to make boxing mainstream again. He threw it away to give Lara a million to fight Zaveck and other similar mismatches with guys getting paid more than the event brings in. Haymon and the fighters made out like bandits for a while. Fans like me were pumped and praising Haymon and PBC. Go ahead and look at my past comments. After a couple of years of top fighters being vastly overpaid to fight bums on regular t.v. and boxing is back to where it was before.
I will order Ward-Kovavlev and will be excited to watch Thurman-Garcia. However, I am a single father and a member of the working class. I cannot afford premium channels. Wow, awesome fights I can't watch. Yay, I am so happy and excited.

James is one of the most underated champions around. I think he wins this one easy. James is the only fighter at 168 I woud give a very good chance to beat both Ward and Golovkin.
