I would say that Marquez knows more about boxing than anyone on this forum so his opinion matters. Golovkin is the only one out there that can beat Canelo and Oscar knows it. Fight is a fantasy either way. Not going to happen until GGG applies for social security.

The correct word for your joke to work would be "xenophobic" as opposed to "racist". Mexican is referring to a nationality, not a race. There's no Mexican "race", Mexicans can be of any race.

Now seriously, JMM is actually being jealous. He has always envied Canelo's success in the media, how popular he is. But this is normal because, to most ignorant people's standards, Canelo "doesn't look Mexican" yeah right lol, it's estimated that 15-20% of the population IN MEXICO (not in the US) are either 100% of white ancestry, or at least 70% white and the rest is a mix of any other race.

So Canelo "looks different", than the "typical Mexican" and honestly has always been more fun to watch than JMM even though JMM IMO was a much better boxer than Canelo. But there's something about Canelo's looks, size and fighting style that is way more attractive than JMM. That's why Canelo has always been a fan magnet, since he was a teenager boxer, and JMM struggled way more to get in the spotlight.

Just my two cents. Sorry, I can't help writing litanies every time I write a comment on here.
