Comments Thread For: Marquez: If Canelo Trades With Golovkin - He's Committing Suicide!

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is giving Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs) a shot to beat Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs), but he's not very confident about Canelo's ability to stay on pace with the dangerous puncher - who is very active with his attacks, rounds after round.

Well, without wishing to state the obvious, that was Angulo and Kirkland. And neither could be said to be in tip top form either.

Kirkland hadn't fought for 19 months and hasn't fought since and Perro never made 154 again, indeed he hasn't even made 160 since fighting Nelo.

Marquez is being racist because Canelo is Mexican.

Kirkland never really knocked out a top junior middleweight contender. Angulo was slow as crap, shot to death and barely landed anything of note.

Marquez is right. Problem is, GGG always dictates the pace with his foot work and pressure. My guess is it would be pretty competitive for a few rounds before Canelo starts gassing out and is forced to the ropes. GGG by late TKO. Feel free to disagree, I donīt think the fight will happen before 2018 any way.

If it does happen in 2018 that means Golovin is even slower than how he is today

Golovkin is much more skilled than Kirkland and Angulo but they probably have the same power except Golovkin can actually box, I have no doubt in my mind that both Golovkin and Canelo can take each others power, it's gonna be who has the more skill and speed that decides who wins the fight, I can't see this fighting ending early

                    Canelo isn't one to trade.
