The pressure is all on ward....

Undoubtedly its the biggest fight of both fighters career, but in my view there is more pressure on ward than there is on kovalev. If kovalev loses he'll still be a fan favourite due to his style, and people could accept an off night if ward outboxes him. However, ward has been out in the wilderness for 5 years, with very few people tuning into his fights or showing any interest. Now hes got an entertaining dance partner , hes now back in the limelight and in the boxing big leagues. Winning alone might not be good enough, he needs to win in entertaining fashion, or people arent going to tune in for his fights and wards not going to make any money in the future. So, will this added pressure be a factor in the fight?

he has a promoter who gave him a terrible deal(wonderful deal for ward) ward's promter has only lost money since signing him. maybe that will change someday but it has nothing to do with how much of a draw he is.

That has jack to do with anything.

Some know how to get paid while others don't.

A win is a win and a loss is a loss. Both boxers are undefeated and want to stay that way. Kovalev wants to keep his world titles and Ward wants to take them. The pressure is equal on both boxers.

nah i dont agree with that, dont think a win is a win. if he starts fouling or fights negatively hes not going to get much credit. People will just say 'same old ward, boring'. he needs to impress people to be seen as a great fighter. the casual fan didnt give mayweahter much credit for beating pacquiao, and ward may be just as negative plus throwing some fouls into the mix
