What’s interesting is that Barrera threw 263 more punches than Ward in the fight. What this means is that Ward can be dramatically outworked by his opponents. K2 could only go by what Ward himself was saying back then. What Ward was saying back then was he was ready to fight again. But not against GGG without "at least a couple of tune-ups first" according to his trainer.
