That could also happen. I'm just saying, in all fights I've seen of his, he is susceptible to uppercuts in a huge way.

GGG was willing to fight the best name on Ward's resume - Carl Froch - in the UK, which is something Ward wouldn't do.

What’s interesting is that Barrera threw 263 more punches than Ward in the fight. What this means is that Ward can be dramatically outworked by his opponents. (Note: Barrera is quite slow, anyway...)

missing, is not outworking your opponent

He was ready to fight Ward in 2013 too, but Ward wasn't ready for him.

I have no doubt whatsoever that lil'G was " ready " to fight Andre Ward when Ward was either inactive or injured.

haven't we had this conversation 4000 times ?

immediately following Smith, lil'G wasn't ready..... 164 doe

when RN came knocking, lil'G wasn't ready..... maybe 2017 doe

                    have some pride

K2 could only go by what Ward himself was saying back then. What Ward was saying back then was he was ready to fight again. But not against GGG without "at least a couple of tune-ups first" according to his trainer.
