It would be 158 or no fight. Anyway Lemmy has a hard time to make 160 lbs.

I understand that Lemieux can't risk coming down to 158, but if he wants the fight, he shouldn't make that statement, especially now. I say that because there are plenty of fighters, who are just as good as Lemieux (Charlo, Williams, Andrade) who would love to go up 4lbs. for a shot at Canelo, and let's not forget that a Cotto rematch would be very lurative too!

It was just a matter of time... as it was part of the deal when Golden Boy ordered him to face GGG.

How many fighters historically have had to "test the waters" by fighting catch weights when moving up from 154 to 160? As far as I can remember, they usually just make the jump. If anyone can post some examples, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Too often, Boxing fans eat what they are fed regardless of the taste or personal preference and they pay for it. It's quite unfortunate.

I hate catch weight fights. Always gives the loser an excuse.

Usually they move up to a better division?? Or there is an A-Sider up there. There is only GGG and thats about it. 154 lb division is way more stacked and more $$$$ to be made there in the long run then go for one BIG $$$ fight. Personally Lemuix isn't even that good. I would prefer to see Canelo fight Andrade, J-Rock, either Charlo Bros. Or even Thurman.

The only reason I would want to see Canelo BEAT Lemuix is because of the select idiots that actually think he will win...And my wallet would be getting filled with their tears and $$$$.
