Sanchez is not a devastating puncher, hes an accumulation puncher. Bragging about guys taking punches well is like the very thing that leads to them being stopped, that shouldnt even be something thats brought up.

Thats very basic like literally first level of countering. He doesnt use his waist at all. Id be caught dead calling him a counterpuncher. You want to see someone use literal inches of waist and foot movement to counter extremely small mistakes, watch Vic Pasillas. Thats counterpunching.

I think that has more to do with how bad mexican boxing is at the moment.
These guys were also pushing Berchelt, Estrella, and Sanchez. How that work out for them?


Mepranum threw like 5 total punches in fight which lasted like 4 minutes.
Again, the opponent rarely lands anything in blowouts.

His footwork is decent, thats it. Reflexes aren't very fast, he looks like tries to do stuff that his body can't keep up with.

I called all three to lose in the exact order they ended up losing. I dont really care whose opinion you listen to, but I just dont see it. Valdez is lacking in the skills department and he really doesnt shine at any particular thing. I was never really high on him and that Tamayo fight didnt help.

Staying around for Berchelt isnt worth it, I'd advise you to exit now. But since youre still here after he got squashed in a minute by a colombian fruit stand vendor, i guess it cant be helped.
Florez is at those weights because hes been getting cherry-picked by bigger Al Haymon tin cans who all proceed to dispose of him like the trash he is.

Magdaleno is talented, but he lacks a solid Ring IQ and makes a huge amount of technical mistakes. That means he'll probably end up losing match-ups he should win like the upcoming Donaire fight.
