As ever the Lemieux Jab virtually non existant and Rios jab, sloppy and ineffectual though it is landing virtually at will. Lemieux trying to get in and throw bombs but Rios shelling up and moving to avoid the worst of it then attacking in brief flurries on the counter. Lemieux landing the odd good shot and probably winning on aggression but really not much to seperate them.

Lemieux is taking way more punishment than he should but he's still clearly winning. Even if Rios wins the last 2 it's still an obvious UD win for Lemieux.

I think Lemieux's weight says it all - he has not put in the work for this fight. He expected another easy KO win. He didn't even consider that Rios has never been stopped and the southpaw stance would give him some problems. Hopefully he learns from this and takes his next fight more seriously.

Lemieux didnt look good but I think Rios should be given more credit for his durability and of course the southpaw stance is working against him if Lemieux fought Andy Lee like his fought Rios he would be KOed with a counter right hook real quick
