I missed the fight, Gavin is a really small ww, how bad he looked?, can he use his skills at the not so loaded 140 division?.

Now Garcia will try to use this fight to justify why he'll be fighting him next.

First of all, props to both fighters for an entertaining scrap. There were times where I questioned why Gavin didn't look to tie up his opponent, but to his credit he tried to fight his way through hardship.

I don't think Eggington was too skilful for Gavin. Gavin hit cleanly with some punches that should have dropped or deterred him, but they did neither. In the end, the body punches broke him down; you could see them take the fight away from him.

Even when getting battered with his back against the ropes it was all 'what heart from Gavin, hes making him miss there, great counter..." Etc. To be fair in flashes Gavin really does look class

I do like Coldwell and Macklin though as commentators.

Andy Clarke is amazing as lead compared to Adam Smith

He missed WW for one of his most important fights. He isnt making 140.

He hasnt got it in him. Fair play for the heart inside the ring tonight. But its a whole different thing having heart when you are pumped with adrenaline compared with having heart when its cold and raining and you have to do your roadwork or you need to choose a healthy meal over fish and chips

They're good but they are too biased for me. It was the same in the Ogogo fight even though Cunnigham was beating him up.

Eggington had Gavin against the ropes absolutely battering him and Coldwell and Macklin were like "Gavin is actually getting the better of him here" two seconds later he wilts from a body shot

Their bias was way too transparent for me. Need to be more neutral.

Its true. Same as when Jim Watt was there they have a pre concieved idea of how the fight will be and then just pick any action in the ring that suits that story.

I preferred this team to the Nick Halling/ Watt/ McCrory era though.

Clarke even mentions boxers who dont fight on sky occasionally which is a revelation really

Didn't know who would come out on top for this one because both had their strengths and weaknesses. Maybe I would shade towards Gavin due to being cuter. But no, he held his feet a bit too much and paid the price for it.

I'm happy for Sam because I enjoy watching him fight. He never backs down and gives it his all. Good performance.

Good thing Danny Garcia ducked Eggy. The man has fire in his fists.
