Sturm ran away. Cotto ran away. Canelo dropped his belt to run away. Martinez ran away. They all ran away.

I hope Jacobs or Saunders don't but I am sure they will as well.
You're deflecting, no who ran away, or got lowballed WHO has golovkin fought?

Now their postion is that he will fight only Mayweather at 154, but not anyone else. Golvkin and his team said in fighting Canelo it is not about the money it is about the weight. Canelo says Ok we will fight at 160 and here is $10 million bucks to put in your piggy bank. Now they say it is really about the money. Do they think that eveyone is ****** and can't see through this CR RAPP?
They were challenging everyone 154-168 when they were B side to all these guys. Sadly for you, Canelo is the only A side around at this point, and he's losing ground while Ggg is always gaining

You might be right, but that really begs the question. Since their answers are always changing how do we know what their position really is. It is akin to the old bait and switch. Don't mean to offend, but Abel and the crown don't have much credibility. BTW, I believe that if they fight, Golovkin will win in relatively easy fashion.

I wouldn't listen to any boxing trainer that's on top of the world, they all turn into blowhards. But on this topic Abel is right on principle, weight concessions are there to even out some of the natural advantage the bigger fighter has.

            good grief

so, you have already decided, huh ?

you guys sound utterly ridiculous to me

            1) Mr " anyone from 154-168 " totally refused to negotiate on the weight with lil old faded 153lb Cotto..... who was - and likely still is - his best payday by far..... so how on earth could you get that so fkn twisted? LMAO

            2) Mr " anyone from 154-168 " also totally refused to fight Canelo TWICE..... once over the weight, then over the money

            3) they low-balled Saunders by offering him 1.5mil, and then Saunders watched Kell Brook make 4mil+

            4) they called for an early purse-bid with Jacobs so his best current offer appears to be 25%..... which will not get that fight done

            5) then we have Ward, Lara, etc..... none of those fights happened

..... seriously, how could you get it so twisted ?

            stop drinking the kool-aid

I think that's actually part of the problem.

DLH could be a diva and people would go along. Mayweather could too.
Canelo can't because he doesn't have the pull those guys did.
That's irrelevant. Canelo doesn't have to be a Mayweather or a DLH to hold all the bargaining chips. Canelo holds the chips, and GGG doesn't have a pit to piss in at the negotiation table. That's the cold cut truth.

So Abel, is an idiot and might cost his fighter alot of money. His pride, and his logic are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Now, with that being said, Canelo should play fair at the negotiation table and provide GGG with reasonable terms,as a man.

Just ask boxing promotor ONE PUNCH PROMOTIONS and he will inform you that there is no way fighters can just accept a fight with no PPV and a flat fee! Managers/promotors handle all decisions unless the fighter's name is Floyd or Vitali Klitchko; a small number of superstars. Who do you think puts up the money and takes the financial risk? Not the fighters.

I agree with this part. GGG brings plenty to the table. Canelo will make much more than him than he would versus Liam Beefy Smith.

Canelo does have Cotto part 2 to make more if he wants it.
