Mosley: big durable guy with good chin. Was running away and not engaging at all. He tried to quit in the corner but his trainer wouldn't let him. Easily could've been a tko as well.

Marquez x2: very skilled, and ability to recover after being hurt is amazing

    Bradley x3: same as Marquez

Brandon rios: great chin, plus Manny boxed him instead of going for ko since he just got ko'd himself against Marquez

Algieri: 6 knockdowns, easily could've been a tko

    Mayweather: great defense
Pac could have fought Shane after he destroyed Margarito but Freddy wanted him to make 142.

Margarito was a shell of himself after getting vaporized by Mosley

Cotto wasn't the same after getting KO'd by Margarito....Even Roach admitted it.

In boxing it's not who you fight it's when you fight them.

Pac has always been a when you fight them kind of guy.

      That's utter bullcrap....
      Barrera
      Marquez multiple times
      Morales
      Bradley multiple times
      ledbedwa
      Hatton
      Cotto
      Vargas
      Clottey

Pretty much fought everyone in quick order

You are acting like manny waits and waits and waits till guys get old, but in reality when did you want him to fight margarito, or shane.. 2005 when he was at 130..

no power? yetbusted margaitos orbital bone and beat cotto worse then margarita did with wraps ROFL. you justifying for him, every fighter back then saying he had shocking power like mosley said.

he was on roids, he would have been caught by now if he didn't stop, only cause Mayweather called him out on it.

        ****** ducking boy.

There is a clear progression of 'power' which peaks at 122lbs! As he climbs above that, his kayo % drops (with insufficient samples at 135/140 to show this) and his stoppages trend towards later in fights after accumulation and almost no KO's at his highest weight. Even the guys he dropped were either natural 140 pounders or had moved up in weight themselves. And Cotto who Pac stopped was badly hurt by Torres and Corley. Next.

          exactly !

as I said earlier..... the only REAL difference in Pac, is that his punch output dropped off

          2008
          * Marquez II..... Pac threw the usual 500'ish punches..... after that fight Pac looked like he had been through a washing machine, Manny Steward commented that Pac looked shopworn, faded, and had "been in too many wars"

          2008
          * Diaz..... after starting a new training regime, Pac threw 800+ punches, Manny Steward marveled at the change, he couldn't believe how good Pacquiao looked..... he either used the word "rejuvenated" or "revitalized"..... I can't remember, but the video is on youtube

          2010
          * Clottey..... Pac threw 1200+ punches, and he looked fresh as a daisy..... other than how that fight unfolded, I have nothing else to say..... Bob Arum paid an unprecedented LOSER bonus to Clottey..... and no, it was not the usual Top Rank 25k KO-of-the-night bonus, it was a 1mil "performance" bonus, for completely under-performing..... I have never before, or since, heard of Bob Arum paying any fighter a performance bonus, let alone for clearly under-performing

          * Lately..... Pac throws the usual 500'ish punches, and looks shot after the fight, like everyone else

other than that, I do not see this supposed slippage from Manny, that others have become accustomed to repeating..... in recent fights, he has looked just as fast and just as sharp..... he pulls the trigger fine, and his timing is there..... I would even say that (at times) he looks a smarter/better fighter.

He should have way too much for Vargas imho.

Shocking power means a fighter is dropped hard and doesn't get up. The FACT IS, Pac has had FOUR KO's in SEVENTEEN fights!! That is a 25% KO ratio since 2007!!!! Shocking power MY A$$!!! Erisland Lara broke Angulo's orbital bone and is NOT a shocking puncher!!!! He has LESS THAN a 50% KO ratio. Get it? Got it? GOOD!

Nothing can be proven by the average human being that didn't know the man personally. But I'd say it's rather unusual to move up weight classes and carry enough power to stop bigger guys. Then mysteriously not be able to stop career lightweights and super lightweights.

Also, Anthony Ogogo had a busted eye socket from Craig Cummings this last weekend and this is Cummings who had - yes - 17 fights and only 4 KO's. So much for the power myth.
