Comments Thread For: Arum Explains Manny Pacquiao's Lack of Knockouts Since 2009
Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs) has been unable to stop any of his opponents since a knockout victory over Miguel Cotto in the fall of 2009. [Click Here To Read More]
once the PED accusations intensified, pacquiao suddenly lost his power
How? He has never been a one punch KO guy. He still hurts opponents but just doesn't go for the KO like he used to. He used to be a buzzsaw and wouldn't let up. As he got older he started boxing a bit more and not going after his opponents with the same intensity. The Cotto fight is a good example, he could of taken Cotto out but he isn't that guy anymore
He still knocks down people cuz of the awkward angels he is landing but he aint knocking out people or even busting them up like he used to. There is a clean timeline for that:
Pacquiao + Ariza + su****ious shakes (In Roach own words) = "Destroyer" Pacquiao up to MW
Pacquiao without Ariza -> no shakes = Cant hurt ****, wants to move down to 140.

the only real difference in Pac is his punch output dropped off
that, and he started fighting a higher level of competition

The rest should be comon sense, if you got some.
Or how about Pacquiao pre-Marquez KO = "Destroyer"
Pacquiao post-Marquez KO = Can't hurt ****(despite hurting every opponent still, w/e you're a ****** anyway)
The bullsht people throw on a guy that carried this sport for so long is shameful, honestly. Mayweather sure as hell didn't carry the sport, most of the sht we're in today is thanks to his handy work.

Good to see someone saying something intelligent on a thread that's bound to have an abundance of ignorant statements. Sick and tired of seeing all the ped theories cast at pac who has never had a failed drug test like many boxers. Many boxers that aren't even known for one punch ko power, ie. Mosley, Berto, Salido, and soliman. Peds don't equal punching power folks, mechanics, speed, and timing do.
We shall see if he still has his power against Vargas! That fight should probably end with someone on their back. I think it's going to be a highly, entertaining action-packed fight.... And for once Top Skank gave us a good undercard.
