Cotto should fight Marquez or Bradley.

Nice!! So that would mean we would get Canelo vs GGG no later than 2019 so Canelo can clean out both 158 and 159.

The ironic thing about Miguel Cotto, is that he sported a fan friendly style early in his career, which made him popular, but in the latter stages of his career, he has become super arrogant, talking in 3rd person and so forth, and losing all the meaningful fights he takes. He walked out of the ring after Canelo soundly defeated him, and told the press he won the fight. I have less and less respect for Miguel Cotto, great fighter, but not personable. Even his interactions with fans is strange, during Canelo/Cotto, a woman visited the wildcard, practically crying over health issues she had, she told Cotto he inspired her to fight, and honestly, Cotto looked like he could care less.

Canelo is being super respectful of a fighter he respects and he's making those comments in the fighter's hometown. Next question.

Good on Canelo, if you're going to fight an old guy. Why not take on the more accomplished one.

Cotto was on even terms with Canelo boxing wise. Maybe even better. He was just the smaller and less powerful man. I don't see where he can improve in order to win.

it doesn't matter if he's the only one selling 300k. It's still not a good number. If the so called face if boxing is selling 300k,it just means boxing is in the toilet and it isn't anything to brag about or be a diva over. If the best hitter on a baseball team is batting 200,it means your team sucks and your best player isn't really an all star. Same with Canelo, just because he sells more ppvs than others doesn't mean he's a ppv superstar when the standard set by guys like tyson, Oscar, Floyd and pac was in the Mil range. Canelo actually did better ppv numbers vs Ángulo (when both were coming off recent losses) yrs ago than this last fight so that just5goes to show you his fan base and ppv support isn't even growing.

It does matter if no one else is doing those numbers. And one million isn't the norm. Pac & Floyd did what others couldn't
