Loeffler asks to extend bid date to WBA

They're five weeks into negotiations. They're so far apart Loeffler asked for an early bid. Loeffler is the one asking for an extension, not Jacobs. Just go to bid tomorrow. Not sense in dragging this out. If they win and Jacobs vacates they can move on. No sense in dragging this out!Comment

He's not going to vacate saying he's not going to get paid anything?
You honestly believe he won't vacate?Comment

I've said the fight would happen from day 1. I don't think Jacobs will vacate because he has nothing else. He was out almost a year and came back to fight Mora. Now we see the WBO angling for Canelo vs Saunders. Jacobs has nothing leftComment

The money he wants isn't there so he'll vacate anyway, unless he wants to challenge himself. So what difference does it make? Just delaying the inevitable.Comment

I think this has more to do with the 90 day rule, where the fight has to happen within 90 days from the purse bid. They probably have their eyes on a date a couple of weeks later.Comment

You think a Haymon fighter won't drop out if a purse bid doesn't go their way?
Jacobs obviously down to wait for nothing since he sat 9 months after the biggest fight of his career to fight Mora again.
See, he's gonna vacate if the purse goes through. If Isaac can accept this, how can't you?Comment

If the fight goes to bid, as Jacobs and his camp seem resigned to do, Tom Loeffler has to bring the negotiations to the public, giving folks a chance to see how much of the spin was actually legit, and Loeffler has to weigh the package he's looking at against the package that DiBella is likely looking at (Showtime and Barclays Center both backing Jacobs' side with serious money).
Jacobs didn't like the money that he was being offered by K2 to go to HBO, Jacobs went to the WBA to try and change that weeks ago, the change didn't happen, and there's been radio silence since.
K2 may look for a bit more time, but the seeming facts aren't going to change; HBO's current package to K2, after paying Golovkin his money, isn't enough to avoid an open bid, and the open bid puts K2 in a bind.
Check all of his posts. He's always siding against K2 and finding a way to pin **** on them.Comment
