    As for belts, well that could be a stretch as champs these days tend to place belts in a cabinet and fight ruined/tune up fighters until retirement. Boxing needs fighters like Lucas as he shows nothing but respect for boxing and his opponents, in a nut shell...he is a proud man.

    Don't watch, but also don't complain when boxing only has poster boys with managed careers. Lucas has given me enough entertainment thus far to continue supporting him and show the promotors that boxing doesn't just need showmen and ballet dancers in the ring.

      Bro, I might be a huge fan but I'm not delusional either. Lucas is done and if he didnt become a champion at 140 then he sure as hell isn't gonna be champ at 147.

        I'm not like some people here who whine about mismatches and what not and still tune in or pay for the network. A year or two ago I didn't support Showtime and canceled their ****. When I don't like something, I let me wallet do the talking. They need us, we dont need them. I can always stream.

            Matthysse, the kind of fighter promoters want to have, doesn't demand huge money even on fights considered tough by others.

            He got $500K in the Postol fight. Crawford got $1.21 mil in the Lundy fight.
