Thought Ortiz was the WBA's top contender? He gets bypassed and Joshua sidestepped. Why not just fight Andy Ruiz for the WBO title?

***** move by Wlad! 100% ducked it.

He's done this because he's greedy, winning the two belts gives him leverage over A Joshua or Wilder fight in his own mind. So when negotiations start up again next year he can say, oh Im the man in the division I have two belts pay me more money, and adhere to all these rules I want aswell

You'd think at 40 with all the millions he's made, he'd be like **** it I just want the defining last fights then im off, but no :/

Joshua is just too much of a beast.

Wlad had Corrie Sanders flashbacks and burned the contract.

In case he beats Brown and AJ after that, that would be one of the more impressive come backs of an older fighter. I dont see why people are hating on this. Sure, LB is not star such as AJ, but he is not a bum. He is more than decent HW, who can give anyone problems. Perfect fight for Wlad at this stage. Lets see what he has left first and then let jump on wlad-aj/wilder. that way even if aj beats wlad he would get full/more credit.
Lucas Browne was outboxed by Rudenko..... The same guy hughie beat for every single round.

He would NOT give everyone problems.

FFS the WBA are crooked anyway I thought they would jump at the chance to approve Joshua-Wlad for the sanctioning fee.

Complete letdown. I weren't even expecting this fight but then to have the fight thrown at us then it don't happen is just misleading BS.

Funny how people were saying Hearn wouldn't risk Joshua and it turns out the other side were the ones who didn't want to risk it, and that's fine because he hadn't fought for a year and just lost but once again they should have made it clear from the start they didn't want that work until next summer.

Also Wlads reasoning don't add up, i thought he would care more about the IBF since he held that belt a lot longer than the WBA.

                    No , not really.

Back in the 90's there was a HW who was 49-0 with 47 knockouts who was considered an easy touch.
