I wouldn't of been that scared of Julian Jackson, to be honest. He was a great one-punch KO artist, and also had underrated skills (mostly accurate punching). I'd be cautious against Jackson, sure, but even if he did catch me with the one knockout shot atleast I'd be out cold before I could feel it! Nigel Benn, every single shot Benn threw in his early career was thrown with vicious intent, he looked to be a hurtful puncher like no other. I just would never fight Benn, back then. Jackson's knockouts were beautiful, Benn's were ugly. Benn made you suffer much more than Jackson did pre-knockout, too.
so you think Jackson was like a quick killer who sliced you heard off and Benn tortured you for a while first?
Jackson was probably the greatest one-punch KO artist ever, he put you to sleep. It was beautiful. The timing, the accuracy, the speed of delivery, it was one knockout shot and it was beautiful.
Benn tried to take your head off with every shot he threw on his knockout streak at the start of his career, it was scarey, he had more punching power than Jackson but not near the same quality of delivery.
mike tyson springs to mind. with the hype machine going strong early in his career and the way he folded most of his opponents made him seem quite scary to other boxers.
mayorga, i think was mentioned. he always fun to watch and i bet he does intimidate many boxers.
muhammad ali crossed my mind as well. he had the whole "i'm a crazy bad man" thing going for him before james toney was even born.
vitali klitschko also had an intimidating aura around him. what really stands out is his staredowns when the fighters meet in the center to touch gloves. he literally looked like he was going to kill somebody most of the time.
