If K2 accepted Jacob's request for an interim fight, then Jacobs probably has to fight Blanco, while Golovkin's allowed to fight someone else. Golovkin could end up fighting Heiland instead of Korobov in December, then the winner of Jacobs/Blanco for his WBA mando in March.

That doesn't make sense; the purse bid is coming within the week. Why would the WBA pull out of the process this late, let alone mandate, in essence, #1 vs #2 to keep the spot warm?

Why don't they try and get Andy Lee who is still a decent enough opponent I don't like the fact he hasn't fought a lot but he beat Korobov he is tall and has a good punch to him If not him maybe test Saunders resolve see If he really is serious.

I'm saying that Wade got 5 times the money he's ever made to eliminate any hint of a purse bid, and K2 seems unwilling to put up the money to kill the possibility of the bid happening, risking K2's business relationship with HBO.

The extended negotiation period ends this Friday. The Korobov talk is a contingency plan for if Jacobs' refuses to come to an agreement.
