Floyd vs Castillo...... simply put was amazing

This was at lightweight when Floyd was prime. Floyd came out strong, using his speed. Castillo starts investing to the body in the middle rounds, trapping and forcing Floyd to go toe to toe. Easily one of the best fights of the past decade. In the late rounds however Castillo clearly swept it as Floyd got desperate.

Castillo fought a prime undefeated Floyd at lightweight and most analysts had Castillo out-throwing and out-landing Floyd 115-111 to 117-109. Floyd put up a hell of a fight, but the BLUEPRINT was laid.

simply put AMAZING, what more can you ask for?

If only boxing was fair, Castillo would have that W, one of the most coveted in the sport ever.

      He was cheated twice; Corrales.

Agreed on both. I've watched the first Floyd fight a few times as that was really the only contentious one, Floyd clearly winning the 2nd, and I have never been able to find a way to give Floyd that fight.

Lol, what an excuse, but if Pacquiao uses the torn rator cuff all you can say is "EXCUSES!" but when it is floyd you gave him a pass for it.

Difference is Floyd was saying during the fight his arm was hurting... Pac wasn't... not that I don't believe him.

Great fight that was overshadowed by the decision, I think Castillo gave away too many early rounds and that what cost him the fight. Plus if you wanna see a fighter fighting with a messed up shoulder, then go watch that fight. Props to Castillo, was a much more skilled fighter that given credit for.

Props to Floyd for giving him an immediate rematch off the surgery without no tune ups or any of the BS we see nowadays, he could've easily dropped that belt and went up to 140 or fought someone else, he couldn't live with people saying he lost so he went right back in there and got the job done and left no doubt that he's the best at 135. Nobody does that in boxing anymore, no doubt Floyd learned from that fight and became a better fighter. Never take anybody lightly and never go to a championship fight at anything less than 100%:

Agreed with the guy that said Castillo cave away too many rounds early. I had him clearly losing at least 4 rounds at the start and it's not like the remaining 8 weren't close rounds. There was plenty of room for a couple of the close rounds to ultimately determine the winner and it just happened in a way some people disagree with. I think it might have been like that either way tho

Best breakdown of the fight I've read, scored for Castillo.
