Stephen "Breadman" Edwards...and yes I could compete as a pro as I have family members who competed pro and a great uncle in the DC Boxing Hall Of Fame...my nephews got the bug too...the oldest of the brothers turns 19 tomorrow and the little one 16 next week...they can go pro too....looking to get my nephew to get consistent at a local gym...

I saw your vid with your son I think...and you did good work with him on the pads so he can go pro too just keep at it..

But yeah I plan to box too...great thread...glad you brought it up...it would be Breadman...he even said that he hoped "to get a stable of fighters that are as eager as me" even though he has "a bad elbow from Julian Williams's left hook on the pads" he really has a passion for training and boxing..."it's just the business side that gets a little seedy" to him...

I'm going to save myself a really long post and just say that you seriously need to do some homework before making statements like that. (and don't bother just listing a few guys who weren't specifically inside fighters)

Man I was just about to mention him. He knows his stuff, I'm impressed anytime I hear or read him talk about boxing. Also, he isn't scared to match his guys tough

Exactly! ...Great minds think alike bro Being matched tough is exactly what you need if you wanna find out if you're the real deal or not...no need for cherrypicking and wasting time on cab drivers no disrespect to David Peralta...lol...but Breadman believes in matching his guys tough...he has raised J Rock really well in that gym in Philly and I'm impressed with his knowledge as well I mean the guy's vision and intelligence coupled with his preparation and analysis of fighters and what angles you need to use...what the guy is about to do when he steps this way or that way and what you need to do to counter...the dude is a boxing god...

Pro fighters vary so much. Could I beat a good pro on the best day I ever saw. No! Could I beat one of those professional loser pros with a record of 3 wins and 30 losses who has been Koed 22 times. Yes I think could knock them out in my prime.. There are pros with records that bad or worse. I wouldn't even need a trainer.

These are the exact type of fighters I would build my legend on, anything approaching .500 win % would have to be for some serious cheddar.

I'm pretty sure if you got constant hands-on training with a trainer for a year straight and actually showed up to practice you can beat some decent club fighters.

Asking for anything else would be a far stretch seeing that even young, brilliant amateurs enter the game, hire world class trainers, get world-class sparring and still get their ass kicked by journeymen.

In another year I'll be 39, so it'll be a stretch, but Id give it a try for a decent payday. Id want to train with Floyd Sr, work a barter type deal. He teaches me to box, and I can teach his son to read. Fair trade if you ask me
